A short ferry ride from Split, we discovered paradise – also known as Hvar Island. Its stunning tropical waters, sunshine and great nightlife are a draw card for young partygoers and the rich and famous alike. This town has the same charm and architecture of Split, but with a party island spirit at its heart and a touch of luxury.

My favourite things to do
Hvar is a great place to spend your weekend relaxing in the sunshine and having a few cocktails and dancing the night away in the evening. My favourite spot was Laganini Lounge Bar & Fish Restaurant, which is located on a small island opposite Hvar. Get yourself a great daybed and spend your day lounging in the sun, sipping on cocktails, swimming in the crystal blue ocean and dining at their famous seafood restaurant. Sail back to Hvar to catch the sunset and kick off your evening at one of the many bars or clubs. The most famous on the island is Carpe Diem Bar and Beach.
